Manchester Animation Festival 2020 Announces Upcoming Short Films Screening! (31st July to 7th August 2020)

Manchester Animation Festival – BIG NEWS! We’re delighted to present a screening of short films and live Q&A taking place over on our website starting on the 31st July. As part of a series of events taking place as we head towards the festival in November the first screening HERE & NOW Contemporary British Animation Showcase does exactly what it says on the tin, presenting some of the best short films made in the UK in the past few years.

Curated from a list of the top British Animated Short Films created by the Alliance of British Animation Exhibitors (ABAE) for the British Council this screening presents a stylish selection of contemporary British Animated Shorts films made in the UK in 2019/20

Bursting with energy and showcasing a diverse range of voices and techniques this screening shows off inventive stories that will stay with you for years to come. Curated from a long list of films selected by ABAE (the Alliance of British Animation Exhibitors) as the best in the UK this screening proudly demonstrates the creative flair and international reach that UK films are known for.

Tickets are “pay what you can” with a recommended price of £5 to help support the festival, filmmakers and future events like this. Tickets are available via manchesteranimationfestival.co.uk for one week from the 31 July. Ticket holders can then join us for the live Q&A with the directors on the 31 July at 19:30 BST.
