Pixomondo takes on a ‘Goliath’ New Task with Amazon Series

The Visual Effects House is named the sole VFX facility for the Billy Bob Thornton-led streaming show.

LOS ANGELES – August 6, 2019 ­ Pixomondo, the Oscar and Emmy award winning global visual effects company, has come aboard to provide the VFX work for Season Three of Amazon Prime’s hit series Goliath.

Created by David E. Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro, Goliath stars Billy Bob Thornton as a down-and-out attorney seeking redemption.

Pixomondo’s Michael Shelton is the overall VFX Supervisor for the show, working alongside Goliath’s Producer Aaron Greenberg. Executive Producer Lawrence Trilling continues to remain the showrunner and director.

Bojan Zoric and Celine Zoleta are Pixomondo’s VFX Supervisor and VFX Producer, respectively, for the streaming series.

Pixomondo – which recently wrapped 8 years of work on the HBO series Game of Thrones – was first brought in to work on a couple specific shots for Goliath’s second season. That work led to being tapped as the sole VFX house for the entire upcoming third season.

In addition to Goliath, Pixomondo is also working with Amazon on the superhero series The Boys, which premieres July 29, and the fantasy series Carnival Row, due out August 30. Goliath will begin streaming on Amazon this fall.

Pixomondo, which won an Academy Award for Martin Scorsese’s Hugo, recently finished work on the second seasons of The Orville and Star Trek: Discovery, respectively. Both sci-fi shows earned Pixomondo Emmy Award nominations in the Outstanding Special Visual Effects category. The winner will be announced in September.

Upcoming fall projects include the Apple TV series For All Mankind, the Blumhouse horror pic The Hunt, as well as Roland Emmerich’s World War II film, Midway among numerous others.
