Pixomondo Teams up with Ubisoft on Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon© Breakpoint Trailer

Actor Jon Bernthal reprises the role of Lt. Colonel Cole D. Walker for the online spot which launches today.

LOS ANGELES – SEPTEMBER 2019 Last week, Ubisoft launched a trailer for its upcoming action shooter video game Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon© Breakpoint, produced by global Oscar-winning visual effects company, Pixomondo.

The online spot launched on September 3, one month and one day before the October 4th arrival of Ubisoft’s newest installment in the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon© franchise.

Pixomondo, also known for its multiple Emmy wins for Game of Thrones, handled the physical and post-production work on the trailer. It stars actor Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead), known in the Tom Clancy Ghost Recon franchise game as Lt. Colonel Cole D. Walker.

In a rare move, Pixomondo worked directly with Ubisoft on the ad, without agency involvement.

“Pixomondo helped bring our vision to life, capturing the character of Walker’s transformation from being a Ghost, an elite US Special Operations soldier, to leader of the Wolves,” said Mike Rhinehart, Associate Director of Marketing, Ubisoft. “We’re very happy with the final trailer that seamlessly walks viewers though pivotal moments in Walker’s life.”

Pixomondo’s Lena Bahrs executive produced the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint spot, with Dan Carbo serving as VFX producer. The company’s Nhat Phong Tran, currently nominated for his work on the sci-fi series The Orville, was the VFX Supervisor.

Avi Youabian, who directed The Walking Dead and the short The Walking Dead: Red Machete, helmed the Ubisoft trailer. He previously worked with Ubisoft on 2017’s Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon© Wildlands: War Within the Cartel.
