The Foundry India Roadshow 2020 Updates!

Returning for the 8th year in India, between 2nd and 6th March Foundry organized a roadshow across India-stopping in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. In total, the events received 1500 attendees for all three days and hosted a mix of international speakers and local partners.

Organized in partnership with ARK Info solutions, the roadshow provided a great opportunity for Foundry to connect face-to-face with local partners, showcase work from international artists such as Enrik Pavdeja, Compositing Supervisor from Framestore, Martin Mayer, Head of Creative Services from Foundry and Iulia Giurca, Support Manager from Foundry.

We learnt how Avengers Endgame came to life,and Indian VFX Studios showcased recent work and shared their experiences on their long journeys to success. Foundry received many great feedback’s from these sessions.

Enrik Nathaniel Pavdeja, Compositing Supervisor at Framestore, took the audience through his journey to success in making of Avengers Endgame. He discussed the sequences he worked on and the use of Nuke® in creating the quantum effects.

Martin Mayer, Head of Creative Services at Foundry showed the latest features and updates in Nuke® and Katana® the asset-based approach to look development and lighting that gives you the creative scope and scalability to meet the needs of the most demanding CG projects.

Local studio speakers from India showcased their work: Mr. Prasad Sutar, NY VFXWala showcased visual effects breakdown of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior from Mumbai, Mr. Bharath Reddy, Tau Films from Hyderabad showcased vfx breakdown of Crazy Alien and Mr. LH Harish Ram, Knack Studios from Chennai for their recent films vfx making of 2.0, Sye Rea Narasimha Reddy, Thumbaa, Namma Veetu Pillai.

It was an opportunity to meet people and come together to exchange experiences and the latest trends. The speakers at the event inspired the young generation to carry out the best practices to stay ahead in this competitive world.
