The Witches (also marketed as Roald Dahl’s The Witches), is an upcoming American fantasy comedy film directed by Robert Zemeckis, and written by Zemeckis, Guillermo del Toro and Kenya Barris. It is based on the novel of the same name by Roald Dahl, and is the second feature length adaptation of the novel, following the 1990 film of the same name. It stars Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci, Chris Rock, and Jahzir Kadeem Bruno.
