Triple Frontier VFX Breakdown by DNEG

Triple Frontier VFX Breakdown by DNEG

DNEG, As the lead VFX partner on Triple Frontier, DNEG artists were tasked with enhancing and transforming the ever-changing landscapes of South America as we follow our characters on their journey through the Andes.

In addition to developing key environments to help tell the story of their arduous climb through the jungle and mountains, the work included complex character animation of a CG mule, and animation and destruction of an MI8 Helicopter. The film was shot on location using mostly natural light, which, along with the 4K HDR format, set a high bar for the quality of our work. Photorealism was paramount to make the epic setting believable for audiences and stay with our characters throughout their ordeal.
