Ant-Man and the Wasp VFX Breakdown by Digital Domain

Digital Domain, For Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man and The Wasp,” our visual effects team led by VFX Supervisor Nikos Kalaitzidis created the storm sequence inside the Quantum Realm. The team created the storms entirely using concept art created for the Quantum Realm as a guide.

Contrary to the physics of our world, everything within the Quantum Realm including geometric shapes, displacements, textures, colors and lens breathing all had to be animated to appear as if the landscape itself were alive and breathing.
