Aquaman VFX Breakdown Digital Domain

Digital Domain‘s artists were tasked to create this particularly complex sequence for “Aquaman.” Led by VFX Supervisor Jay Barton, our artists built the entire Dead King’s Island environment for the heartfelt reunion sequence where Aquaman and his mother finally meet.

Aquaman is a 2018 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is the sixth film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film was directed by James Wan. Aquaman premiered in London on November 26, 2018, and was released in the United States on December 21.
