The Disney+ series changed the game in virtual production while also bringing feature film-level visual effects and animation to the small screen.

Hickel, an Academy Award winner for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’ and a further three-time Oscar nominee, oversaw the animation for all manner of creatures, vehicles and characters in ‘The Mandalorian’, as well as playing a key role in visualizing ILM’s miniature/motion-control shots featured in the show.
