ShadeVFX/BranchVFX Closing

June 22, 2020 – Shade VFX, Farewell to all of our clients, team mates, friends and fans.

I want to thank you all for being a part of this family. I’ve had the good fortune of working with some of the finest artists and producers in this industry. We’ve created a decade’s worth of amazing art and managed to keep our integrity throughout. Together we created vfx for over 100 films and televisions shows, won some awards, and had a darn good time.

I started shade to create a focused, honest, and fair visual effects company. By creating specific workflows, systems, and software, I was sure that we could manage an incredible company culture, not compromise on our artistic goals, and still be competitive.

Sadly, as you all know, the Covid pandemic, and subsequent shuttering of all filming has left shade with an insurmountable gap, leaving us unable to ultimately continue forward.

In the coming weeks both shade and branch VFX will be closing their doors. Thank you, to all of our clients and supporters over the last decade. This was truly a special place, and I am forever grateful to have shared it with you all.

I know that this is just the beginning of another chapter for myself and all of the shade and branch family. Please do stay in touch, and who knows what adventures lie ahead!
