MPC teams up with Ogilvy UK to launch the latest major campaign from Vodafone

The action-packed 90-second spot, which is set to the new Mark Ronson track ‘Truth’, follows a continuous dance performance, through different locations, by a woman and more than two dozen of her lookalikes. The spot uses the power of music and movement to bring to life the new Vodafone campaign in a positive and upbeat way.

Entitled ‘Be Unlimited’, the latest campaign from Vodafone comes at a massive turning point for the brand, as it becomes the first network to offer customers unlimited data on 5G in the UK. Using a data-driven approach, the advertising will be targeted to appear at those times and in those places where the need for unlimited data is greatest, for example as an alternative to WiFi hot-spotting.

The campaign is created by Ogilvy UK and directed by Si & Ad through Academy Films with post production and visual effects by MPC. The VFX work from MPC, led by 2D Supervisor Alex Snookes was integral in bringing this spot to life. Alex gave an insight into some of the VFX work that was involved:

“We worked closely with director’s Si & Ad at Academy Films to make sure that the VFX enhanced the spot as this was paramount for the director’s vision. They wanted the audience to look at the spot and not know where or when VFX was used. This meant a lot of meticulous planning, rehearsing and a very committed team of dancers and choreography to pull it off.”
