Pinocchio is an upcoming 2021 American stop motion animated musical film directed and co-written by Guillermo del Toro and co-directed by Mark Gustafson, based on Gris Grimly’s design from his 2002 edition of the Italian novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. It was written from an screenplay by Guillermo del Toro, Gris Grimly, Patrick McHale and Matthew Robbins and an story by Guillermo del Toro and Matthew Robbins. The film marks the animated feature film directorial debut of Guillermo del Toro. It was produced by The Jim Henson Company and ShadowMachine in co-production with Necropia Entertainment. It stars the voices of Ewan McGregor, Ron Perlman, Tilda Swinton, Christoph Waltz, and David Bradley.

Produced and distributed by Netflix, the film is projected for a 2021 release.
