Spark Animation Film Festival Submissions Now Open!

Submissions are now open for the 12th annual SPARK ANIMATION FESTIVAL!

BC’s only Oscar®-qualifying festival will be taking place from 29 October to 1 November and will feature some of the best short and feature-length animation the world has to offer.

The festival’s “Best in Show” winner will be eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film category of the Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with Academy rules.

Important Dates:

21 August 2020 — Regular Submission Deadline
11 September 2020 — Extended Submission Deadline
1 October 2020 — Notification Date
29 October — 1 November 2020 — Festival Dates
