UK Screen Alliance Issues Safe Working Guidelines for VFX Industry

29 May 2020UK Screen Alliance, in consultation with companies from the post and VFX sectors and industry bodies BFI, BFC, Pact and BECTU have published Guidance for safe working in Visual Effects and Post-Production during the Pandemic. The guidance aims to provide a framework for companies as they transition back to on-premises working with client attendance, whilst ensuring the safety of their employees, contractors, and clients.

Guidance for ‘Working Safely During COVID-19 in Film and High-end TV Drama Production’ has been developed by a group led by the British Film Commission (BFC) to get filming restarted safely as COVID-19 has brought it to a virtual stop. Other codes of practice for production have also been published by the UK broadcasters and by the Advertising Producers Association (APA).

The UK Screen Alliance Guidance for Safe Working in Post Production and VFX during the COVID-19 Pandemic was produced in consultation with the following organisations:
